Privacy Policy
We collect exactly as much as it takes to keep things running. There are two roles here, and they don't mix:
- VPS hosting (paid service) — provided by sole proprietor Roman Sartov (RNOKPP 3319218013, Lviv, Ukraine). He is the data controller for data relating to that service.
- BEE-IX (free community) — the same, but with no money and no contract involved. Your participation data (ASN, network name) is only needed for the membership itself.

What we collect
- When you apply: your name or network name, email, phone, ASN and country.
- In your account: email and IP address.
- When paying via WayForPay: email, phone, name and amount. Card details are handled directly by WayForPay — we never see or store them.
Why we need it
To get you onto the route server, to reach you when something's wrong with your session, and to invoice you if you rent a VPS. Nothing else — no profiling, no advertising.
Legal basis for processing
- For the VPS: performing the offer agreement (Art. 11 of Ukraine's Law "On Personal Data Protection"; Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and meeting the sole proprietor's tax and accounting obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
- For BEE-IX: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time.
We log the moment you gave consent (date and IP address), so it can be shown later that you did.
Who we share it with
Only those without whom nothing would run: the WayForPay payment provider and our hosting provider. Nobody else — and never for money.
How long we keep it
- Community participation
- while you are a member or until you withdraw consent
- VPS service data
- for the term of the agreement, then until settlements are completed
- Payment/accounting records
- at least 1095 days (3 years) under Ukrainian tax law, then de-identified
- Login and IP logs
- up to 12 months
Our hosting provider's servers may sit outside Ukraine — we pick providers whose data protection holds up.
Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your data, and withdraw your consent to its processing at any time. Registered members can download a copy of their data and request its erasure directly in their account. You can also always email us at support@bee-ix.net. We respond to such requests within 30 calendar days of receipt.
